Round Steak With Mushroom Gravy

Directions


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Happy Life Ranch Round Steak
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp thyme

Instructions:

  1. Season the round steak with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add onions and mushrooms. Cook until softened, then add garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. Stir in flour, cooking for a minute. Gradually whisk in beef broth and add thyme. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Return the steak to the skillet, cover, and simmer on low heat for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the steak is tender.
  5. Serve with mashed potatoes or your favorite veggies for a comforting meal.
