🌾 Farm Field Trips at Happy Life Ranch

Where Classroom Learning Meets Real Life
Bring your students out to Happy Life Ranch for an unforgettable hands-on learning experience! Our educational ranch visits give students the chance to see how food is raised, how animals are cared for, and how regenerative farming/ranching works in the real world.

Perfect for schools, homeschool groups, scouts, and youth organizations.

πŸ„ What Students Will Experience

Our field trips are designed to be engaging, educational, and age-appropriate. Students will explore a real working pasture-based ranch and learn how ranching connects to science, the environment, and everyday food choices.

Depending on the season and ranch activity, students may:

  • See pasture-raised cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, and turkeys
  • Learn how animals are rotated on pasture (rotational grazing)
  • Discover how animals help improve soil and land health
  • Explore how regenerative ranching/farming differs from industrial ranching/farming
  • Ask questions directly to ranchers about food, animals, and the environment

This is a real ranch, so every visit is a little different β€” and that’s part of the fun!

🌎 Educational Focus

Our ranch visits connect especially well with lessons about:

  • Food systems and where food comes from
  • Soil health and ecosystems
  • Environmental science and sustainability
  • Animal care and agriculture
  • Regenerative and pasture-based ranching/farming practices

We love supporting teachers who are reading The Omnivore’s Dilemma: Young Readers Edition and other food/environmental science topics.
